We are now locked in for arriving on Sunday 16 March, 2025, and departing on Saturday, 22 March 2025. This is a one week push back from the original dates and saves about $200 per room over the entire week.
Now for costs. We will be staying at the Santa Fe Hotel and Resort. I will be forwarding the website and the group booking code to everyone in the next couple days after I receive it from the hotel. We will be contracting for a block of a minimum of 10 rooms. The total cost per room including all hotel fees and taxes will be $890 for Sunday-Saturday.
The workshop fee will be $40 per person. Please bring cash, I’ll collect it the first day.
I need to hear back from each of you that you are definitely attending as there is a $750 charge to reserve the block of rooms, so please confirm with me at your first opportunity. If I cannot confirm at least 9 of the 10 contracted rooms in the next week, then we will have to abort the contract and folks will have to book on your own at a higher rate.
I’ll need to know how each of you are traveling into Vegas, by car or plane, and when, as soon as possible. I also need to know who has a National Parks Pass, or a Nevada State Parks Pass. Please let me know, also ASAP.
Two folks have mentioned wanting to share room costs, Rick and Jeff, I’ll plan to have you guys roomie up. If anyone else wants to share, please speak up immediately.

9:00 Day Two Red Rock Canyon, 30 min drive, route 2
Wednesday 18 Mar
9:00 Big Dune trip, 1 hr 30 min drive
Thursday 19 Mar
9:00 Day One Valley of Fire, 45 min drive, high route 1
Friday 20 Mar
9:00 Day Two Valley of Fire, 45 min drive, low route, lunch, then high route 2 or Atomic Museum
Saturday 21 Mar
Departures
Unfortunately we will not have a reserved meeting room at the hotel as they wanted to charge over $1,000 for it. We will however, have a little get together one evening at my house, which is about three miles from the hotel.
