Pluto as seen from Charon

A view of Pluto from its satellite Charon. Charon is primarily composed of ice and rock, with some nitrogen ice and tholins; organic macromolecules, that give it’s northern hemisphere a darker color. Charon also has an unusual geologic feature, Kubrick Mons, also known as the ‘Mountain in the Moat’ that will be the subject of a future illustration. Robin Pleak
