Oil on canvas 18 x 24 inches. March 2020. I completed this canvas the first week of the Pandemic here in Southwest Florida. It represents , to me, the turbulent times we are in right now. I almost forgot to post this in my portfolio because I have been sewing cloth masks for family and friends. I will get back to painting very soon.
Born in 1944 in Washington, D.C., I have painted and sculpted most of my life. At 74 years of age, I feel I am at my most creative time of life. I started painting a series of "Nebula Art" in 2015 after seeing the Hubble Space Telescope images. I find so much joy in attempting to capture these beautiful photographs. I live now in Naples, Florida, and have 18 completed paintings so far and will continue to paint as long as I am able. I studied art and sculpture at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C.; painting and sculpture at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, Va. I have taken art classes in my community of Pelican Bay. Exhibition include Swiss Embassy, Torpedo Factory, Pelican Bay Community Center, Naples Art Association and Rookery Bay Go to the artist's portfolio
