The night was interstellar. I went to the local observatory (Balai Cerap Kota Bharu) to catch a sight of the deep space visitor from the Oort cloud – Leonard comet as it makes its way to the inner solar system.
The sky was crisp clear, between the assembly of the planets there it was, Leonard with its glorious tail and bright nucleus. As all “eyes” on the comet, I witnessed the astronomical passing of my lifetime.
This painting illustrated the place, the night, the feeling I experienced as my eyes gazed at the anticipated guest of our solar system – Van Gogh Style.
“Our spacetime seem to intersect perfectly, Leonard”.
