1990 - 1991: Part-time adult education classes in visual arts: painting/drawing and ceramics.

1991 - 1993: Ceramics Diploma course at Wandsworth Adult College, London.

1993 - 1998: Full-time ceramics studio work.

1998 - 2001: Full-time BA Hons degree course in Fine Art:Ceramics at Camberwell College of Art (now University of the Arts), London.

2001 - present: working artist in ceramic sculpture and mixed-media.

Artist's Statement:
Having grown up in the 1960s, from an early age, I have always had a passion for things astronomical, futuristic and technological, having been greatly influenced by films, TV series and comics of that era.

Visions of our universe have served to inspire me greatly, along with humanity's efforts to reach out and explore the so-called 'final frontier': The ‘magnificent desolation’ of the Moon and the landscapes of our other celestial neighbours - their majesty, their beauty, their mystery; their seemingly endless precession in the silence of the void.

Apart from making my works for my own pleasure and sales, I hope to be able to inspire others (mainly a younger generation, given my passion for STEM outreach education) to use their own creativity to make space-based art: I am a firm believer in the motto of the British Interplanetary Society, “From Imagination To Reality”.

At times, I like to introduce an element of humour into my work, so I also make small lunar landscapes, using small figurines and models to illustrate a ‘challenging’ situation.
