The Lunar Rover was given a high speed test on the moon by John Young. As the rover bounces along, one of the wheels clears the ground. I was fascinated watching videos of the behaviour of dust in a vacuum and low gravity. I’ve tried to capture that in this painting, and to show how John must have been enjoying himself.
