This is a mostly digital image done for a new astronomy text. The ship is the old British Interplanetary Society design for a fusion-powered unmanned starship. I modeled and rendered it with Strata Studio Pro. The planet in the background was painted on a scrap of watercolor paper for a planetarium show years ago, scanned and added to the scene.
