Part of our goal was to organize an art exhibition combining the work of the IAAA and the Soviet Artists Union. I’m sure we all found it a fascinating process with much puzzlement in both groups about how our groups were organized, how we communicated and what we were actually talking about. I recall one of the translators at one point practically in tears bursting out, “That’s not an answer! Saying ‘That’s an idea’ when we suggest something is NOT an answer!” Anybody remember who the Russian signatures are on their cartoon of the negotiations for the Phobos show?
